How to Prepare Waxed Ends for Hand Sewing Leather

To properly sew leather by hand, you need to use what’s called a “waxed end.” Basically, you’ve got a long piece of linen thread with frayed ends. You’re going to put a needle on each end of the thread for most leather stitching. And there’s a trick to getting those ends secured properly so the thread will slide easily through the hole your needle makes.
